In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the state farthest in the northeast of Germany, lies Demmin in a triangle formed by the two Hanseatic cities Rostock and Stralsund and the city of Neubrandenburg which gains more and more importance through its regional airport. The expressway A20 provide the city with an outstanding transport connection to international highways.


Demmin, the youngest Hanseatic city of Germany, is attractively embedded in a beautiful area of lakes called Mecklenburger Seenplatte at the confluence of three rivers and the crossing of two federal highways.
